EduTracker WSIS : FAQs Teacher

1. Does the Gradebook module allow for non-numerical scoring? Yes. For example, k-5 grading is done on either a letter basis (e.g. N,S,O or A-F) or on a check mark basis.

2. Can Parents view data not associated with their child's classes? Absolutely not. Each user in the system has limited access to information, which is established by school administrators. User page permissions limit access to retrievable information.

3. Is the Grade book always viewable by the Students and Parents? No. Administrators may set time intervals in which the release of grades online are made available. This gives tremendous flexibility over how information is disseminated.

4. Can parents change data posted by a teacher? No. Refer to the response to question two for more information.

5. Can student conduct be tracked within the system? For example, can student's behavior be ranked? Yes. Depending on the grade-level behavior may be ranked on a scale of one to five or behavior may be recorded using the demerit system.

6. Can Transcripts be generated by the system? Yes, in addition, progress reports can be made available at all times or on a scheduled basis depending on school administrative policy.

7. Can Parents add medical notes to their child's profile? Yes. This provides a convenient way for Parents to notify Teachers instantaneously about their child's medical condition.

8. Does the system capture emergency contact numbers in a student's profile? Yes.

9. How are students from multiple grade-levels in a single class managed by a Teacher? Since, student, parent, and teacher relationships are predefined at the beginning of a school year, Teachers have access to any student's records, regardless of grade, that they teach.

10. How often can Attendance be taken? Attendance can be taken on a by period or daily basis.

11. What do I do if I forget my password? Simply enter your username on the log in page, click on the “Forgot my password” link, and it will be emailed to you.
